Points to keep in mind

  • Complete one financial information section—either Section D: Financial Information or Schedule 6: Detailed Financial Information. The list of criteria at the top of Section D helps you choose which one.
  • Questions A3, C3, C4, C7, C9, C10, C11, and Schedule 1–Question 4, are decision points that determine if you need to complete one of the Schedules or an additional form.
  • Guide T4033-1 Completing the Registered Charity Information Return is available online. If you don’t have Internet access, call CRA to request a printed copy. CRA does not include the Guide in the T3010-1 Information Return package.
  • CRA includes a checklist of forms and attachments in Form T3010-1 after Section F: Confidential Data. This checklist helps ensure you complete all parts of the form. Make a copy of the checklist to use while you prepare the form.
  • CRA posts the public sections of Form T3010-1 in the online CRA Charities Listings.

How to use the interactive form

Use the interactive form as a working copy to prepare Form T3010-1. Or, use it to explore the form and read plain language explanations of each question. You cannot submit this form to CRA or save it online. You can print it for your records and transfer the information to a paper copy to submit to CRA.
