Introducing Form T1236(10)
Introducing Form T1236(10) Qualified Donees Worksheet/Amounts Provided to Other Organizations
Form T1236(10) reports the donations of money or property that your charity made to other charities or other qualified organizations. You must identify each organization and report the total amount of all gifts made to that organization, as well as the amount of gifts-in-kind and designated gifts included in that total.
Use Form T1236(10) to file returns for fiscal years that end on or after March 4, 2010.
The March 4, 2010 federal budget discontinued the concepts of enduring property and specified gifts for fiscal periods that end on or after March 4, 2010. You do not need to track or report these types of gifts. See the CRA website for more information.
There are 3 differences between T1236(10) and the previous version of this form, T1236(09):
1) Amount of enduring property has been deleted
2) Amount of specified gifts has been deleted.
3) Amount of designated gifts is requested. Use the blank line; write “Designated Gift” and the amount.
All information on this form is public and is posted online in the CRA Charities Listing.
